Why I Destroyed My Sense of Self
In April 2024 I did something most people only dream about.
I quit my job.
Moved out of my apartment.
Packed everything I owned into a backpack.
And booked a one-way ticket to Bali.
No plan.
No safety net.
No looking back.
Just a deep, undeniable feeling: This isn’t my life.
The Invisible Cage
On paper, I was doing fine.
Independent. Employed. Comfortable.
Smart financial decisions. Occasional travel. A nice apartment in the UK…
But inside?
I was unraveling.
I felt empty, lonely, miserable.
Not because of a bad job or toxic people.
But because I was sleepwalking through life — making choices based on what was “safe,” “expected,” or “normal.”
I didn’t feel alive.
I was caught up in a life designed by someone else’s expectations.
Performing a version of success that never truly felt mine.
The Breaking Point
Discontent doesn’t scream. It simmers.
And eventually, the fear of staying the same became scarier than the risk of change.
So I let it all go.
Not to escape.
But to finally start listening to myself.
I burned the script and chose to create my own.
I dove head-first into the abyss of the unknown.
And that single decision led me into a whole new plane of existence.
Why Bali
It wasn’t the “Instagram fantasy.”
It was alignment.
I came to study yoga — the actual philosophy.
Not to be a Lululemon girl.
Not to have a “#hotgirlsummer.” 🫠
Nor to pose on an overpriced mat with a green smoothie in hand.
I came to understand the roots.
To sit with the ancient Eastern teachings that had guided my healing for years.
But also to witness proof.
Proof that people were building lives rooted in intention, not just achievement.
I wanted to be around those people with the hope that their energy would rub off.
What I Learned
Comfort is not peace. It can be a silent killer of dreams.
You don’t need a plan. You need a decision and the courage to follow it.
You’re not stuck. You’re just playing a role that isn’t yours.
In that one year of uncertainty I found clarity.
I met people who mirrored parts of me I hadn’t met yet.
I uncovered my message, my mission and the kind of creator I want to be.
Not an influencer.
Not a productivity machine.
But a mirror — for people waking up to themselves.
From Performance to Presence
This isn’t just my story.
It’s a call into your own.
We were sold a script:
Get a job. Buy a house. Find “the one.” Be happy.
But many of us check all the boxes…
And still feel empty.
Why?
Because we don’t need more steps.
We need more truth.
Truth about who we are.
What we want.
And why we keep performing instead of living.
Then the problem isn’t you.
It’s the script.
The Shift: From Content to Consciousness
I’m not here to go viral.
I’m not here to be palatable.
I’m here to help you wake up to your true potential.
To speak what others are afraid to say.
Not by being louder…
But by being real.
Because the world doesn’t need more content creators.
It needs conscious creators —
People who build from truth.
People who create from alignment.
People who remember who they are and why they’re here.
If you’ve ever felt stuck, lost or quietly suffocated by a life that looks good but feels off…
This space is for you.
We’re not here to escape the matrix.
We’re here to remember we built it.
And we can redesign it with intention.
One choice at a time.
P.S. Wake up.
Conscious creators > content creators.
